JOB prospects look bright at a Somerset business park after more deals were signed this week.

The 40-acre Westpark 26, currently under construction at Chelston, near Wellington, is defying the property market with more and more enquiries.

Two adjacent roadside plots totalling 1.6 acres have been sold to the Wellington Motor Group which owns Nissan and Renault dealerships on nearby Chelston business park and a large regional Nissan dealership in Exeter.

Nigel Hounslow, commercial director of developer Summerfield Developments, said: “We are continually dealing with a number of high quality enquiries for a range of uses including distribution, retail and office usage.

“The location, only half a mile from junction 26, means the access for not only local business but regionally based businesses is exceptional.”

Wellington Motor Group managing director Michael Finn added: “We are delighted to extend our business relationship further with Summerfield and are excited about the possibilities for the sites in the future. The opportunity to purchase further sites so close to our existing business and headquarters was something we could not miss.”
