Popular fast food chain KFC could be set to move into the closed Burger King site in Falmouth and create 30 new jobs for the town.
Burger King in Market Strand closed two weeks ago and a chicken store could take its place after staff confirmed they were looking into the prospect of moving into the Falmouth area.
Nina Arnott, a KFC spokesperson, said: "We're looking to open a restaurant in Falmouth as we know there is a strong demand for KFC from local residents. We are investigating a couple of interesting sites in the area."
She said that the prospect of moving to the town was still in its early days and could not disclose any specific sites or a move-in date.
She added: "A new store would create around thirty jobs in the local community, and we hope to have some good news soon."
